DUMP TRUMP?

Since Donald Trump was elected president, there has been more racial incidents being reported in the media. You begin to see more and more oppression in minority's, Black and Hispanic especially. There have been a countless amount of open racism toward people of color, because of the people that follow trumps ideals. Other than Donald Trump being an almost scapegoat for racist white supremacist here in the United States, the way he conducts himself as well as a reason that I'm not favorable of him. He is rude, vulgar with the words and the context he chooses to share on social media and interviews. As a president, he doesn't seem to filter what he shares on social media. For example like Twitter, for being a president you would think that you'd at least post professional messages. Rather than he shares his egotistic comments. He also does not respect women and since he has been in office, women have been being open on sexual assault and how it is to walk around as a woman in modern day because of the norms he put out on how he treats women. Trump is also against the homosexual community, for example, his idea of banning transgender people from serving in the military. It seems like his whole campaign was based on lies and the greed for money, just like most Republicans. He should focus more on civil rights, rather than his finances. Trumps seems to have better luck as a businessman than a president.

  1. On November 9, 2018, Blogger published an editorial by Savannah Ramos titled Dump Trump? The intended audience is the people of the United States, to open up their views on the U.S. Government and how President Trump is a negative connotation to us. Her claim is for President Trump to focus more on civil rights and liberties, as opposed to things that seem to oppress the nation. Additionally, doing so, would help everyone see the United States government through a new and better scope. Her evidence and logic is based off of the past two years of President Trump, and how he has spent it in office. Most of his events in office consisted of some extremely negative connotations towards minorities, unprofessionalism, and etc.

Ramos's argument is based off of logic through his outlook and views on President Trump. In which, I would say her outlook is more ethical than Trump's. This is because Trump has faced a lot of unethical approaches within his first two years of his presidency. As it states:"Since Donald Trump was elected president, there has been more racial incidents being reported in the media. You begin to see more and more oppression in minority's, Black and Hispanic especially . . . Trump is also against the homosexual community." This clearly proves her claim based off of Trump's views, that if he were to focus more on civic rights and liberties, and less on discrimination than the view of the U.S. government will definitely be changed.

  2. On Friday November 9, 2018, one of my classmates post an article titled “DUMP TRUMP.” which is intended to all Americans. The article is to raise awareness about the negativity of the actions of President Trump.

I’m not a supporter of President Trump, but I do not put all the blame on him concerning the racism and the discrimination that the minority people are enduring in US. Trump is just one of the million of people who said loud what they are thinking and saying on their couch. The black suffered racism and discrimination before Trump. Don’t think that he is “Dump” as you said. He is smart than you think. Trump did not come and create any of the issues you talked about, because you know that they were there and functioning as well. The damage exists, but what are we doing about it? it takes an individual effort required from all of us to stand up to promote tolerance and inclusion. We must reject the idea of violence defining who we are. We need to break the chain and create a tolerant society and show the way to the next generation. There is no middle ground, one is either part of the problem or part of the solution. Which side are you?
